I’m afraid I’m not a tattoo expert but with all of mine I was told to use bepathem. I’m going to assume your artist will recommend something (if not, then definitely ask). Unfortunately I’m also going to guess that the back of the knee will be pretty sore and you’ll also have to be careful about stretching the skin. Part of my side tattoo is on the crease by my hip when I sit and it didn’t heal correctly (one day I’ll bother to get it touched up) - so I’d be pretty careful about exercising.
Otherwise I’d highly recommend talking to your artist about your worries before letting the ink commense!
